I stood there staring out of my window. The rain was coming down hard. I knew it would. I turned my head slowly to look at my room. It was small. My bed was unkempt and dirty and clean clothes lay strew across my floor. I looked at the clock. 2:04 a.m.
He will be here soon, I thought to myself, He always comes about now. I pulled the hood of my black jacket over my head and opened my window. A slight wind brushed my face with a gentle hand. I jumped out of my window, landing on the horizontal pipe that lined the apartment wall. I scooted along the edge of the building until i reached the metal latter and rested for a moment. I looked around at the city. My city. Everyone was asleep. All the lights were off and all the noise i heard was the tapping of rain against concrete. I started scaling the building up the ladder until i reached the roof. The rain started coming a little harder. I sighed and outstretched my arms, pointing my chin to the sky. I let my thoughts dissolve and my eyes close until i sharp noise made me snap back to earth. I turned to see a shadow just disappear out of my vision. "He's almost here," I said to myself, "I better get going." I ran across the roof in a full sprint, the rain soaking me to the bone. The wind whipped my hood off my shaggy black hair. I wanted to just jump off the edge of the roof for the thrill but i knew what I was here for. I jumped onto the thick wire that connected the power lines to one another. The wire splintered a small streak of electricity into my shoes. I felt it tingle. I balanced myself carefully and walked across the wire like it was a tight rope. "Almost there," I said to myself under my breath. I looked up ahead of me at the power lines. Another sound echoed behind me. I stopped walking. I heard the deep inhales and exhales of a great beast behind me. I slipped backwards on the wire a little as i felt it strain and stretch with tremendous weight. "Back again?" I asked. "I should ask you the same thing," it replied. "Are you really going to do it this time?" I questioned, still not turning to look at it. "I should ask you the same thing," it said coyly. I felt the wire relinquish the weight of the beast behind me and i turned around just in time to see the giant wolf disappear again. A snarl roared behind me and i felt a pain ripple into my body. I looked down at my chest. The wolf's skull of a snout was emerging through my bones. I turned my neck to look at the wolf. It grinned back at me. I felt blood spoil down my wet clothes just before hearing an ear-splitting crack. The wire broke and a wave of electricity was let loose into the open air. The wolf laughed and disappeared again. I was entirely drenched with rain water and blood. The electricity current caught me by the arm and shook my entire body with hundreds of volts. I couldn't scream. I just let my burnt and damaged body fall from the sky with the rain. Slow like the rain. Crying like the rain.
yeah a lot of people have dreams that totally don't make sense. my dreams are like stories.
that's why i love my dreams. they are perfect for art class while we draw and tell stories. i'm a total story teller. so i've said my dreams and a bunch of life encounters before. my favorite dream i had was one where i fell in love with a shape-shifter. i've always wanted to draw him. sigh.

DeviantART was blown away by the response to the Design The Dew® contest. To everyone who gave us their spin on Mountain Dew® Limited Edition Green Label Art, we say w00t!!! It's times like these when we show the entire world deviantART is home to the best artists on the planet.
As the new GM for Macro Photography, I want to talk to you about the concept of Macro Photography - what it is and what it involves. Also, there are a few guidelines on what's Macro and what isn't.
This article is to help deviants learn how to type with smaller, bolded, underlined or various types of fonts while leaving comments. I hope it comes in handy
With a record level of nominations and suggestions on an almost daily basis, it would be hard to ignore the community call to recognise such a fine example of a deviant as `snowmask. Her constant presence since the formative years of deviantART has never wavered, demonstrating a natural ability to seek out and motivate those in need.
